Three Questions to Ask Yourself about Mattress Comfort Levels

From Firm to Ultra Plush, mattress comfort levels are designed to accommodate certain sleep habits and sleep health. With so many levels of comfort, it can be overwhelming to find the one that’s right for you. We have found three questions that your sleeping style is sure to fit into:

1. Do you experience back pain?

Firm and Cushion Firm comfort levels are great for those who experience back pain.

A Firm mattress is ideal for larger individuals, as more body mass requires more support.

A Cushion Firm offers superior support and minimal cushioning, and Cushion Firm mattresses add comfort to the support when looking to relieve back pain. Every person is different, and finding the right kind of firmness is key.

2. Are you a person with a smaller build?

If so, a softer mattress is ideal because smaller builds do not have as much weight to displace. Plush and Pillow Top mattresses offer a softer surface and work great for smaller builds.

A Plush mattress gives the sleeper a weightless and cradling sleep experience.

A Pillow Top mattress is great for those looking for a soft bed that offers support, and these mattresses offer more comfort than a Plush mattress.

3. Do you want to sleep on a cloud?

Everyone wants to sleep on a cloud, but you must be sure that this level of comfort is right for your sleep habits and body type. Both the Euro Top and Ultra Plush are designed to give a luxurious comfortable night’s sleep.

The Ultra Plush mattress works for those with smaller builds, but it can still be described as if you are “sleeping on a cloud”. This mattress is usually made as a blend of memory foam and latex to ensure the ultimate comfort.

The Euro Top is like the Pillow Top, but the Euro Top is joined to the mattress whereas a pillow top is sewn separately to the surface of the mattress. Euro Tops are also more durable than a Pillow Top and tend to remain softer as it ages.

These are questions based primarily on the comfort level of the mattress, and you may differ if you have unique sleeping habits or qualities. Finding your comfort level is an important step to choosing the right mattress for you.

Sit n’ Sleep would like you to come into the store, find a mattress on the showroom floor that you feel would suit you, and take 5-10 minutes to get comfortable on the bed. Adjust yourself to the bed by the way you sleep or what you usually use your bed for (i.e. work on the computer). We spend one third of our lives sleeping, so it’s crucial that you take the time to thoroughly feel out the bed.
