Sit 'n Sleep is the best place to buy Helix in Los Angeles and Southern California. We carry the full Helix lineup across 37+ locations in Los Angeles, Orange County, the Inland Empire, and Ventura County. Get fitted with BedMATCH and try your matched model in your actual sleep position before you decide. Select models available at select locations.
Helix built its reputation on personalization: the idea that the right mattress depends on your body type, sleep position, and whether you sleep alone or with a partner. That philosophy maps perfectly to what BedMATCH does in our stores. Most Helix customers who walk in thinking they know which model they want leave with a different one after the fitting. We carry the full lineup across Los Angeles, Orange County, the Inland Empire, and Ventura County so you can try the right model, not just the most popular one.

Named models by sleep profile, tiered by material and finish. BedMATCH narrows the right combination before you lie down.
Best Helix Mattress by Sleep Position
- Side sleepers: Sunset (soft), Midnight (medium), or Twilight (firm)
- Back and stomach sleepers: Moonlight (soft), Dusk (medium), or Dawn (firm)
- Heavier sleepers over 230 lbs: Helix Plus
- Hot sleepers: any model with the GlacioTex cooling cover
The Helix Model Lineup
Helix names models by sleep profile. Three are tuned for side sleeping and three for back and stomach sleeping, each spanning soft to firm. Plus is a separate build for heavier sleepers.
| Model | Feel | Built for |
|---|---|---|
| Sunset | Soft | Side sleepers who want the deepest pressure relief |
| Midnight | Medium | Side sleepers. The most popular Helix model overall |
| Twilight | Firm | Side sleepers who want more support under their hips |
| Moonlight | Soft | Back and stomach sleepers who want contouring |
| Dusk | Medium | Back and stomach sleepers. The balanced middle option |
| Dawn | Firm | Back and stomach sleepers who want firm support |
| Helix Plus | Firm | Sleepers over 230 lbs. Reinforced coils and denser foam |
Availability varies by store. Get fitted with BedMATCH and we will show you what is on the floor near you.
Firmness range across the lineup runs roughly 3 to 8 on a 10 point scale depending on model, and every model except Plus comes in three tiers — Core, Luxe, and Elite — detailed in the cards above. Helix Plus is offered at the Core tier only.
Find your model. Then try it.
BedMATCH uses diagnostic sleep science to match your body type and sleep position to the right Helix model before you lie down on a single mattress.
Built for Your Body.
Zoned support coils, body-contouring foam, and the science behind Helix's sleep profile matching
Helix vs. Purple vs. Tempur-Pedic
Shoppers comparing Helix usually have Purple and Tempur-Pedic on the same list. Helix hybrids use zoned coil systems with targeted lumbar support, while Purple uses a grid-based polymer layer for pressure relief. On cooling, the GlacioTex cover and micro-coil airflow on Helix Elite compete directly with Purple's grid.
Against Tempur-Pedic, Helix gives you stronger motion isolation through individually wrapped coils at a lower price, while TEMPUR memory foam contours more deeply for sleepers who want that enveloped feel. There is no way to settle this from a spec sheet. We carry all three, so try them in the same visit and let your body decide.
Common Mistakes I See on the Sales Floor
Picking the model from the quiz and stopping there
The online quiz is a decent starting point, but it is working off what you tell it. BedMATCH measures what your body actually does. Most Helix customers who come in certain about a model walk out with a different one, and it is usually a shift of one step in firmness, not a jump across the lineup.
Confusing the model name with the tier
This trips up almost everyone. Midnight is a feel. Luxe is a build. Midnight Core and Midnight Elite are the same medium side-sleeper feel with very different materials underneath. When someone tells me they want the Midnight, my next question is always which one.
Assuming Twilight is a back sleeper bed because it is firm
Firm does not mean back sleeper. Twilight is a side sleeper model that happens to be firm, built for side sleepers who need more under their hips. If you sleep on your back and want firm, you want Dawn.
Skipping the cooling cover and regretting it
Helix hybrids run about average for temperature. If you already know you sleep hot, the GlacioTex cover makes a real difference at the surface and it is a lot cheaper to add now than to solve later with sheets and a fan.
Not trying Core and Luxe back to back
Two inches of extra comfort layer and zoned coils sounds like a spec sheet difference. It is not. Lie on both in your sleep position for ten minutes each. Some people feel nothing and save the money. Some people feel it immediately. Both answers are fine, but you should find out in the store.

Sit 'n Sleep Customers on Helix
Real reviews from Sit 'n Sleep customers across Southern California.
"I'd been going back and forth on Helix for months online. Came in and did BedMATCH. It pointed me straight to the Midnight Luxe. Tried it for ten minutes and that was it. I had no idea how much difference the zoned coils make for side sleeping."
"My wife and I sleep completely differently. She runs hot, I'm a back sleeper with lower back issues. The consultant recommended Twilight for me and Sunset Core for her. We both got what we needed. The split king setup was the right call."
"Went in thinking I wanted the Midnight. BedMATCH said Moonlight. I almost didn't try it. Glad I did. The extra softness was exactly what my hips needed. Three months in and no more waking up at 3am."
"I'm on the heavier side and had basically given up on foam mattresses. The Plus Core holds up in a way nothing else I'd tried did. Consultant knew exactly which model without me having to explain much. That's what the fitting is for."
The Right Mattress Is Different for Everyone.
We carry Helix because their model lineup is built around the same principle as BedMATCH: there is no single best mattress, only the right one for your body. Independent Wesper sleep tracking found 87–94% of Helix sleepers reported improved sleep quality after switching. Come in, get fitted, and find out which one that is for you.
