Frequently Asked Questions

What is the warranty on SmartLife?

King Koil offers a 25-year limited warranty on all SmartLife mattresses. It is not transferrable, but it covers the mattress for defects in workmanship and materials (except in fabric, handles, or tufting rosettes, if featured on this product). For information on this and all warranties, please visit our Warranty Information & Links page.

What is the SmartLife Return Policy?

We offer a 120-night sleep trial. We’re confident in our Sleep Consultants' abilities to match you with the perfect mattress for your body type and budget. But if you find your purchase isn't the mattress of your dreams, we've got your back. It generally takes 8 - 10 weeks to properly break in a new mattress. Much like a new pair of shoes, it also takes time for your body to adjust to a new sleep surface, especially if your old one was out of shape. Once your new mattress is delivered, our 120-Night Sleep Trial comfort guarantee requires you to sleep on it for 30 days. If you are not completely satisfied, you have an additional 90 days to come back into any Sit 'n Sleep location and select another mattress of equal or greater value with a 20% restocking fee not to exceed $500.00. The 120-Night Sleep Trial does not apply to closeouts, floor samples or if your product is found to be dirty, stained or abused. Returns for non-mattress products: All products that Sit 'n Sleep sells have a manufacturer’s warranty. The length and the terms of these warranties vary by manufacturer and type of product. During the warranty period, Sit ‘n Sleep will work with the customer to receive a replacement product if there is a manufacturing defect. If the product is found to be unreasonably unsanitary, or abused by the customer, the product could have its warranty voided. Sit ‘n Sleep will offer a refund provided the product is brand new and still in original manufacturer packaging. If the product is not in this condition, Sit ‘n Sleep will work with the customer to receive a warranty replacement or repair, depending on the product in question.

Is financing available for my new bed?

YES! Sit ‘n Sleep works with Synchrony Financial, Fortiva Financial and American First Finance to provide competitive financing for our customers.  Financing programs ** are available to qualified applicants.  Apply online or see store for details.  Sit ‘n Sleep also offers a “No Credit Check” option through Cross Check for 90 days same as cash.  Buying a mattress set is a major purchase and we want you to be able to purchase the mattress set that best suits your sleep needs. **Subject to credit approval. Minimum monthly payments required.  See store for details or visit our financing page.

Do I need special sheets for my new mattress?

You will need special sheets if you are purchasing a very thick mattress with a thick pillow top. Sit ’n Sleep offers a selection of high profile or deep pocket sheets that fit very well on these thicker mattresses. When selecting sheets, it is also important to keep in mind that your sheets are part of your sleep environment, therefore comfort, thickness and softness should be considered when making your sheet selection.

What are the standard sizes of mattresses?

Mattresses come in five standard sizes. These are Twin (39"x75"), Full (54"x75"), Queen (60"x80"), Eastern King (76"x80") and California King (72"x84"). NOTE: exact mattress sizes vary by manufacturer and by model. The dimensions given are only approximations.

Can I flip or rotate my SmartLife mattress?

No. The SmartLife mattress is constructed to use on one specific side and one direction.

Will I need new pillows with my new mattress set?

Unlike your mattress, you should replace your pillow every 1 - 2 years. Over time, pillows lose their supportiveness and accumulate body oils, fluids and allergy-irritating dust mites. Pillows provide 20% of the total support you need while sleeping and keep your head, neck, shoulders and spine properly aligned. Ask your Sleep Consultant to fit you with a pillow that compliments your mattress selection.

How long will a new mattress last?

While the industry standard is eight to ten years, mattresses should be evaluated regularly for comfort and quality. If you find yourself realizing that the quality of sleep that you are getting is not the same as it was six months earlier, it is time to get a new mattress. In addition, as we go through life, our lifestyles and bodies change. Your mattress should always be comfortable to get the best night’s sleep possible.

Why do I need a mattress protector for my new bed?

We carry a wide variety of mattress protectors designed to inhibit bedbugs, allergens, dust mites, mold, mildew, bacteria, body oils and dead skin cells from accumulating in your mattress. They also safeguard your mattresses as an investment. Mattresses that become stained or unsanitary at any time automatically void their comfort and warranty guarantees. Our protectors are waterproof, breathable, won’t alter the feel of your new mattress and are approved for any mattress purchased from Sit ’n Sleep.

What are the differences between SmartLife and Sleep Number?

While both SmartLife and Sleep Number offer smart mattresses, SmartLife’s features truly set it apart. SmartLife has eight independent zones you can control, the Sleep Number mattress only has two. SmartLife comes with a smart alarm and relaxation mode, Sleep Number has neither of these features. Sleep Number’s control unit is external and takes up space under your bed; SmartLife’s control unit is built into the mattress. The Sleep Number mattress is usually more expensive than the SmartLife, sometimes costing $1000 more! You’ll also get a 25-year limited warranty with SmartLife, a decade longer than Sleep Number’s 15-year limited warranty.
