When you need a mattress that offers the strength and support of an innerspring with the softness and comfort of a foam, a hybrid mattress deserves serious consideration. First introduced in 2008, this unique mattress combines individually pocketed innerspring coils with various types of memory foam to provide the perfect blend of sturdy support and contouring comfort.
Sin ‘N Sleep offers a full line of hybrid mattresses from some of the best names in the business, including:
- Sealy Posturepedic
Our models come in a variety of sizes, types and comfort levels, with a price range to fit any budget.
What Makes a Hybrid Unique?
The hybrid mattress starts with pocketed coil technology to provide firm support and help reduce motion transfer. Then it adds one or more memory foam layers to increase comfort, reduce pressure buildup, and provide the ideal sleeping posture. Finally, a luxury fabric cover is applied as the top layer to protect the mattress and conform to your body.
Most hybrid mattresses are built with the same size coils as traditional innerspring mattresses. However, they typically include more layers of memory foam on top, which results in a more comfortable sleep experience. For those who like a lively mattress, the coil system retains the bounciness that comes with traditional innerspring mattresses, and also gives hybrid mattresses a traditional mattress shape compared to the straight lines of today’s memory foam mattresses.
Why Choose a Hybrid Mattress?
The best hybrid mattresses offer many advantages for those who demand a restful night’s sleep.
- Uncompromising comfort. The latex or memory foam used as the top layer of the mattress confirms to your body to provide the most comfortable sleeping experience possible. It also distributes your weight more equally, which can help reduce pain from aching muscles and sore joints.
- Stronger support. The traditional innerspring mattress construction provides the support healthy people need for a sound, restful sleep. It also helps to reduce tension and pain for those who suffer from neck and back problems.
- Excellent value. Hybrid mattresses typically cost less than memory foam or memory foam with gel mattresses, yet still deliver remarkable comfort, support and durability.
- Versatility. Hybrid mattresses are compatible with adjustable bases, which means that in addition to sleeping you also can read, watch TV, or work on your laptop in full comfort.
The memory foam layers in a hybrid mattress also help to decrease heat retention by diffusing the heat away from your body as you sleep. In addition, the superior edge support increases the amount of sleep surface, so you can comfortably use the entire mattress.
Is a Hybrid Mattress Right for You?
Hybrid mattresses are ideal for sleepers who want the comfort of memory foam and the support of innersprings in one mattress. However, the amount of memory foam in hybrid mattresses varies from brand to brand. In some models, memory foam comprises 50% of the mattress, whereas with others it can be as low as 20%. That’s why we recommend coming into your nearest Sit ‘N Sleep retail location to see and feel for yourself all that a hybrid mattress has to offer. Our experienced sleep consultants will help you evaluate the different models and make sure you go home with the best hybrid mattress for your sleep needs.
As of 12/30/2015, California state law requires retailers to collect an $11 recycling fee on each mattress and each box spring sold. (I.E. A recycling fee of $22 must be assessed for the purchase of one mattress with one box spring.) The amount of the fee was mandated by the state and is not set by individual retailers.
